Hey hi, it’s me, Billie. I have very few original ideas for posts recently so today I’m sharing 10 of my favorite records from my collection. It’ll be a ton of fun, I’ll get down on the floor and go through all my records, say hi to Dirt Cobain, maybe share a few ancient relics I have, DVDs… You know what, I’m actually just going to do the top 15 things in my entertainment center cabinet. That’ll be so much more fun.

1. Dirt Cobain
If you’re brand new here you’re likely not familiar with Dirt Cobain. That’s okay, just go back a few posts and you’ll find him. But here he is, in all his glory, in his wonton soup container.

2. Patti Smith- Horses
My favorite album in my favorite format, what’s better than that. I think I’m gonna put this bad boy on right now.

3. My first smoking box
If you know me you know I like boxes and putting treasures in them and then getting high and touching all my treasures, remembering all the memories I’ve had with these treasures. My first smoking box is a really pretty tin, filled with various objects that have been untouched/unused since I lived in Brooklyn. We’ve got a ton of tiny weed bags, like a ton, we got expired pepper spray, a feather, a key to the gallery I worked at, a bunch of dead lighters, a shit load of weed stems, etc.

4. The Doors- Waiting For The Sun
This is the album I found for like $2 at an antique shop, I totally was expecting it to be unplayable because the record is ancient but it’s in impeccable condition.

5. The Biblically Accurate Billdozer
It’s me!

6. Orchid- Chaos is Me
Another favorite album that I have on vinyl, I got this for myself in Northampton with the bestie while wearing my Orchid sweatshirt so it just felt like fate.

7. Metalocalypse season 4 on DVD
I don’t even have a DVD player I just really love season 4 of Metalocalpse and when I got it I had a laptop with a CD drive. Those were the days.

8. The Gashlycrumb Tinies by Edward Gorey
My grandma gave me a copy of this book when I was like 10 or something and I was like daaaamn that’s fucked up. I loved it, and from that moment on I was obsessed with Edward Gorey.

9. Scowl- Psychic Dance Routine
I just love Scowl. I really think they’re one of the coolest bands to ever do it, so I had to get PDR on cassette when I saw it.

10. Salad Days (dir. Scott Crawford)
If you’re into the 80’s DC punk scene I highly recommend this movie. It’s entertaining and comprehensive, it’s got Ian MacKaye, it’s everything a documentary should be. Except my copy is a Bluray.

11. The Dave Brubeck Quartet- Jazz Impressions of New York
Banger after banger, sounds fantastic on vinyl. It’s a great mood-setter album if the mood is getting really high and appreciating jazz.

12. Alphonse
Alphonse is pretty much family at this point, he’s stolen (not by me) and worth a pretty penny but I would never sell a member of my family.

13. Project X
This is August and my’s favorite movie to watch together so naturally I have it on DVD, Once again I will say, that my laptop had a CD drive. And at some point, I did have a DVD player.

14. Johnny Cash- Ring of Fire
Ring of Fire is such a great album, I love Johnny Cash. Very pleased that I managed to steal this from my parents.

15. QOTSA- …Like Clockwork
I mentioned already in a previous post that QoTSA reminds me heavily of my first semester at college. The most blissful semester of my life I think.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this trip through my entertainment center with me. I like looking at my things, like a crow. If you like looking at my things too, let me know and I’ll do a tour of my Special Box or maybe even my Special Basket. Stories galore hidden within various containers! Okay, now shoo. Have a beautiful day.
